This is the personal web site of Tom Friedhof.

I love to play with technology and tinker with anything that has to do with a computer. I'm a Do-It-Yourself person, which is pretty common among the technology geeks. I love to build stuff, whether it be a web site, web application, tinkering with my home network and the connectivity of new devices, or just something on my table saw in the garage, I feel I always need to be engaged in something that will challenge me.

What I do.

I am a web developer primarily using the Drupal framework, but have also used other open source frameworks, including a home grown framework that I've built.  I've been self employed for 5 years developing software for various clients around the world.  I love what I do, and I can't get enough of it. I'm a geek at heart. I love playing with anything technology, even if it has nothing to do with my occupation.I also love to work in my shop in the garage. I love working with wood, building cabinets and shelves for my home. Wood working is a great outlet when I'm approaching burn out on technology.

What is this site?

This site as a place to store anything that matters to Tom Friedhof, mostly technical thoughts, tutorials, and maybe the occasional home improvement project. It's also a sand box for me to test new drupal modules.
